Puerto Vallarta reported, for the second time this November, zero coronavirus infections and zero deaths from this disease this past Sunday.
With the measures taken by Jalisco's authorities when they pressed the emergency button, due to the increase of cases of coronavirus in the municipalities of the state of Jalisco, the activities continued their normal rhythm, without suffering affectations in the tourist sectors, and if they decreased gradually this weekend the infections in this tourist destination.
The mayor informed that three security filters were installed in the main accesses of the city, by the north entrance of the federal highway 200 in the cruise of Las Juntas; by the south entrance of the highway 200 at the height of Boca de Tomatlan, and by the highway 544, at the height of the entrance to the delegation of the Palms. He added that on October 31st an operation was carried out to inhibit the traditional Halloween celebration, to which the population was previously invited not to participate, through the different media, so fortunately the people answered the call and took shelter in their homes.
Puerto Vallarta is complying with the measures and dispositions decreed by the governor of the state, Enrique Alfaro Martinez, after the application of the emergency button last Friday, as it has been possible to verify in the different inspection and supervision operations that are carried out in the city, assured the president of Puerto Vallarta, Arturo Davalos Peña. In a virtual meeting of the Executive Council of Public Security IX of the North Coast, the mayor of Vallarta was pleased that these measures are giving results in this Port and in the whole entity, since the state leader informed that the numbers of COVID-19 infections have decreased.
This Friday the reception of the weapons command of the Eighth Naval Zone of Puerto Vallarta was held by agreement of the high command of the Mexican Navy, this as part of the permanent rotation of personnel and with the purpose of the Secretary of the Navy of Mexico continuing with the fulfillment of its mission and attributions.
