The government of Jalisco carried out the Meeting

The government of Jalisco, through the Direction of Attention to Migrants, carried out the First Meeting of the West, a project that was also developed in coordination with the National Coordination of Offices of Attention to Migrants (CONOFAM), seeks to strengthen the bonds of collaboration between the consular authorities of the United States of America in Guadalajara and the States of Nayarit, Aguascalientes, Colima and Jalisco, in order to improve the services provided to the migrant community. The event is of transcendence, as it served as a day of updating and training regarding the services and programs offered by the U.S. Consulate in the western region of the country.

Thanks to this collaborative effort, Jalisco, as well as the other participating entities, will have first-hand information and, in this way, will be able to adequately serve the migrant community. The event was attended by the Consul General of the United States in Guadalajara, Eliza Al-Laham; the representative of CONOFAM, Arturo Morales Gracia and the Director of Attention to Migrants of the Government of Jalisco, Raymundo Galván Gutiérrez; among other authorities. This meeting between nations, comes to strengthen the relations of the neighboring country and brings as a consequence, a benefit to migrant citizens who wish to travel to the United States and without so many complications, and with greater support from both governments to the community.
