Based on the Board of Indicators of Development of the state of Jalisco, currently there are seven existing programs of Ecological Zoning Ordinances (POET) enacted in the state, while the corresponding document of Puerto Vallarta and the correction of the stages of diagnostic and characterization are in preparation .
The environmental ordinance is the instrument of environmental policy, which aims to regulate or induce land use and productive activities in order to achieve environmental protection and preservation, as well as sustainably exploit natural resources.
In this regard, according to the information handled by the Ministry of Planning (Seplan) in the table of indicators and based on the data provided by the General Directorate of Environmental Planning (Semades) of Jalisco, currently seven POET are enacted.
The ordinances are in the Costa Alegre region, of the state of Jalisco and the municipalities of Cihuatlán, Tomatlán, Cabo Corrientes, Tlajomulco de Zúñiga and Zapopan, some other documents from other regions and state agencies are in validation process, as well as correction.
In regards to the document of Puerto Vallarta, still under development, as well as the correction of the stages of characterization and diagnosis, in addition to the Planning of Land Use Model (MOET), this tourist destination can be viewed online at the website of the Ministry of Environment for Sustainable Development (Semades) http://siga.jalisco.gob.mx/moet/, where you also have a map of the model of land-use and a map of priority regions.
It is noteworthy that MOET onsite is a map containing areas with uses that are permitted, prohibited and conditional, and that the document can be enacted at the state level and must enroll in the Public Property Registry, in order for the mandatory compliance for all sectors or individuals intending to settle and exploit its natural resources.
The technical document shows the environmental management units, the natural fragility levels, the types of land use and the environmental regulatory criteria and territorial policies.
The environmental ordinance is the instrument of environmental policy, which aims to regulate or induce land use and productive activities in order to achieve environmental protection and preservation.
