Ricardo Domingo is not only acclaimed for his professional career as a dancer, he has also been recognized as one of the best choreographers currently working in Mexico. At a very early age, he became maître du ballet, regisseur, resident choreographer and coordinator of the Chamber Ballet of Morelos (BACEM).

He has created a wide repertoire of different styles: classical, neoclassical and contemporary. Critics and audiences alike have given him standing ovations for his work, in which he merges ballet with contemporary structures. His piece DanzSones was selected by the Mexican Council to promote and represent Mexico at the International Mosaic Festival 2009 in Minneapolis, USA.

Ricardo Domingo graduated from the Bachelor of Artistic Education at the Escuela Superior de Artes in Yucatán (ESAY), in the intensive program for outstanding artists. He has continued his training by participating in different seminars, such as Choreographic Script, Stage Lightning, Cultural Marketing and Cinematographic Script.

Since 2009, he is Founder, Artistic Director and Resident Choreographer at Opus Ballet, a contemporary ballet ensemble based in Mexico City. The company represents and promotes the exceptional standard of Mexican contemporary ballet, with the specific mission to produce original scripts and national cultural heritage.

For the first time in history, an independent professional dance company receives a grant from the Mexican Chamber of Deputies to perform in national and international stages.
