Academic Ceremony of the 53rd Generation of the Bachelor of Administration at CUCosta

Last Thursday, October 3rd, the Dr. Juan Luis Cifuentes Lemus auditorium at the Centro Universitario de la Costa (CUCosta), University of Guadalajara, hosted an emotional academic ceremony that will forever mark the lives of 57 young graduates. The 53rd Generation of the Bachelor of Administration, named “Maestra Julieta Vianney Madrigal Casian,” celebrated the end of a journey full of challenges, learning, and personal growth with their families and friends.

From early on, the auditorium halls were filled with excitement. Parents, friends, and loved ones settled into their seats while the graduates, in their immaculate caps and gowns, waited nervously but with smiles of pride and satisfaction. After years of hard work, the completion of their university careers was about to become official. The air was filled with nerves, but the happiness of seeing their achievements recognized outweighed it all.

Leading the event, alongside the graduates, were university authorities and the class sponsor, Maestra Julieta Vianney Madrigal Casian, whose name would become a symbol for this generation.

The ceremony began with a speech from Estrella Cruz, representing her classmates. She shared the joy and pride of reaching this important milestone. With a beaming smile, she recalled the difficult beginnings of their cohort: "When we arrived at CUCosta, we did so unlike any other generation. We started university in the middle of a pandemic. Instead of meeting our classmates face to face, we began our classes at home, through a screen. It was crazy, wasn’t it?"

Her words resonated throughout the auditorium, reminding everyone of the moments of uncertainty and adaptation they all experienced. Despite the difficulties, this generation was marked by resilience and perseverance. "We are a resilient and persevering generation," Estrella affirmed, reflecting the fighting spirit that led them to complete their studies in unprecedented circumstances.

Following Estrella's words, the class sponsor, Maestra Julieta Vianney Madrigal Casian, took the stage with a mix of pride and emotion. In her speech, she shared the deep joy of accompanying her students on such a special day, emphasizing that being chosen as their sponsor was an honor she carried with great gratitude.

With a warm and personal tone, Maestra Madrigal Casian left a clear and powerful message for the new graduates in Administration: “I want to remind you of something very important: be brave, yes, but never at the cost of your authenticity. In a world that constantly asks us to fit into pre-established molds, being authentic may seem risky, but authenticity is what will truly make you stand out.”

Her message was enthusiastically applauded by those present, recognizing in her words a guide for the future challenges they will face in their professional careers. The pride Maestra Madrigal felt for her students was palpable, and the graduates responded with looks full of admiration and respect.

Next, Pilar González and Alejandro Baltazar, two of the graduates, took the stage to present a well-deserved recognition to their sponsor as a token of gratitude for her support and wisdom throughout their journey. The presentation was followed by applause and smiles in an atmosphere filled with emotion.

The ceremony continued with the presentation of certificates and recognitions to the 57 graduates by university authorities. Of this group, 53 graduates earned their degrees, and Dr. José Luis Cornejo Ortega, Academic Secretary of CUCosta, administered the official oath, a solemn moment that marked their transition from students to professionals in the field of administration.

One of the most emotional moments of the ceremony was the turning of the tassels, led by sponsor Julieta Vianney Madrigal Casian. One by one, the graduates ascended the stage, where their sponsor performed the symbolic gesture that officially marked their graduation, while their families’ cameras captured this important step in their lives.

The ceremony concluded with closing remarks by Dr. José Luis Cornejo Ortega, representing Rector Jorge Téllez López. Dr. Cornejo highlighted the importance of the role that graduates in Administration play in today's business world. “A graduate in Administration is capable of diagnosing the administrative problems of a company, proposing innovative solutions, and creating effective business models to achieve organizational objectives,” he affirmed.

He also reminded them of CUCosta's mission to train quality professionals with a strong sense of social responsibility and the skills necessary to face the challenges of the business environment, both nationally and internationally. “Balancing national values with a global vision and committing to sustainable development are fundamental pillars of your education,” Dr. Cornejo added.

Before concluding, he encouraged the graduates not to see this achievement as the end of their relationship with the University of Guadalajara. He invited them to continue their education through diplomas, master's degrees, or doctorates to further develop their professional skills and knowledge.

The academic ceremony concluded with the traditional taking of the official photograph, a moment that immortalized the culmination of years of effort and sacrifice. The graduates, accompanied by academic authorities and their class sponsor, posed together, with smiles of satisfaction for a job well done and with their eyes set on the future.

The end of the ceremony was not the conclusion but rather the beginning of a new stage. For the 57 graduates of the 53rd Generation of the Bachelor of Administration, life now presents a new series of challenges and opportunities, where they will be able to apply everything they learned during their time at CUCosta. With the support of their families and the backing of their university, they are ready to face the professional world with courage, authenticity, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
