I Lie, You Lie, We All Lie.

Next Saturday, February 15, Teatro Vallarta opens its doors to the play “I Lie, You Lie, We All Lie” with two performances, one at 6 pm and another at 8:30 pm.

The play "I Lie, You Lie, We All Lie" is a comedy of entanglements written by the French playwright Marc Camoletti. The plot focuses on a married couple who invite a friend to spend a weekend in a cabin, which triggers a series of lies and intrigues, further complicated by the arrival of other characters who also hide the truth.

This play has had a high demand for tickets, if the play has been well received and the previous performances have sold out, the production opts for a second performance to satisfy the interested public and increase box office. Mounting a play involves costs in theater rental, logistics, salaries of technicians and actors. Putting on two performances on the same day allows you to make the most of the time and resources invested in scenery, lighting and costumes. Sometimes the cast has commitments in other cities or the theatre has a busy schedule. In order not to miss the opportunity to present the play, performances are concentrated in one day.

It is also important to take into account that there are diverse audiences and accessible schedules. By scheduling two performances, it is possible to attend both people who prefer an evening performance (perhaps families or older adults) and those who can only attend at night (workers or young people).

If the play is on tour, it is common for them to do two performances in one day to make the most of their stay in a city before moving on to another destination. In this case, taking into account the popularity of the play and the names of the cast, it is very likely that high demand and cost optimization are the main reasons.

In its adaptation in Mexico, the direction is in charge of Alejandro Herrera. The cast includes renowned actors such as Jesús Ochoa, Lourdes Munguía, Rodrigo Murray, Aída Pierce, Rodrigo Brand and Cecilia Galliano, who alternate roles in different presentations.

The play has had presentations in various cities of the country. For example, on February 7, 2025, it was presented at the Tijuana Cultural Center (CECUT) with two performances.

Likewise, on January 31, 2025, the play was presented at the Galerías Theater in Guadalajara, where attendees enjoyed an evening full of laughter.

"Yo mien, tú miientes, todos mentimos" has been well received by the Mexican public, offering an experience full of humor and reflections on the complexities of human relationships. The production is in charge of Rubén Lara, a renowned theater producer in Mexico.

For more information on upcoming performances and ticket purchases, it is recommended to consult local listings and the official websites of the theaters where the play will be presented.
