The call for the race "Run with Pride Puerto Vallarta 2024" is open to everyone, with a single category and distances of 2.5K and 5K. The categories include: children, youth, adults, seniors, and adaptive sports. The organizers expect the participation of at least a thousand runners.

This recreational race was created with the purpose of promoting greater inclusion of sexual diversity in sports, as well as fostering respect and equality for LGBTQ+ populations. Gay Pride sporting events in Puerto Vallarta help increase the visibility of the LGBT community. These events allow LGBT people to feel seen and recognized, which is essential for combating discrimination and promoting social acceptance.

Organizing sports races is a way to promote inclusion. These events are open to everyone, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity, sending a clear message that everyone is welcome and valued. Sports races promote a healthy and active lifestyle. For the LGBT community, which often faces higher levels of stress and mental health issues due to discrimination, these events can be an excellent way to improve their physical and mental well-being.

These events help strengthen the sense of community within the LGBT population and their allies. Participating in a joint activity can create stronger bonds and a sense of belonging, which is essential for mutual support and solidarity. Sports races can serve as an educational platform. Through participation and support of these events, the general community can be sensitized to the rights and challenges faced by the LGBT community, fostering greater understanding and respect.

Sports races can be an excellent way to raise funds and support for various LGBT causes. The revenue generated can be allocated to organizations that work for LGBT rights, providing necessary resources for their struggle. Puerto Vallarta, being a popular tourist destination, can economically benefit from these events. The influx of participants and tourists who come to support the event can boost the local economy, benefiting businesses and services in the area.

Sports races challenge the negative stereotypes that still exist about the LGBT community. Showing that LGBT people are dedicated and passionate athletes helps combat ignorance and intolerance. These events can inspire others to organize similar activities in their communities. By demonstrating the success and positive impact of Gay Pride sports races, Puerto Vallarta can become a leadership example in promoting LGBT rights.

Sports races are a celebration of diversity. They allow people to celebrate who they are in an atmosphere of joy and camaraderie, reminding everyone that diversity enriches society and should be celebrated. Organizing Gay Pride sports races in Puerto Vallarta not only supports and celebrates the LGBT community but also benefits society in general by promoting inclusion, health and well-being, and education.
